Ride Across the USA: 8/10/10, Tues -- Long Lake to Ticonderoga, NY -- 53 mi/ 3322 total

This is what our beautiful view looked like in the morning due to the heavy humidity/fog

Another view from our campsite at Eaton Lake

Two early morning kayakers riding on the calm "glass" of the lake

Vermont is beautiful!

Don't you agree?

HUMID!!! Good roads except for about 15 mi and they were really rough, along with plenty of hills. Around 8 last night it started to sprinkle and then it just dumped. We stay dry in the fold-down and glad we aren't in a tent when the bad weather hits. Woke up around 1 a.m. and it was as dark as could be. After fidgetng around, I was peacefully told to listen. Then I heard a loon - what a lovely sound; then an owl who convinced a female to respond; then the loon started up again and a whole flock of them joined the conversation; then I heard coyotes -- what wonderful sounds the Lord gives us, if we just listen. Monarch butterflies flutter around us as we ride which is a whole lot better than the Gnats. We are stealth camping in the ferry parking lot tonight so guess it will be a sink bath tonight. And it is raining again.
